By default, WordPress blogs use your blog feed as the homepage, but because WordPress is so much more than a blogging platform, it also allows you to make a custom, static page as your homepage as well. This is fairly easy to do.

Once you’ve created the page you’d like to be your new homepage, you’ll need to access the Settings section of your WordPress dashboard and select the Reading option. At the top of the page, you should see this:

Select the second option (static page), and select the page you’d like your homepage to be next to the ‘Front page’ option. You can also choose to select the page that your most recent posts should appear on. Save the changes and you’ve got yourself a new homepage!
