Currently WordPress Community have produced around 23,000 free plugins and several other premium plugins.These plugins are rated by the users itself and WordPress has a count of number of Downloads.

According to the recent stats most number of people prefers to install Plugins for improving their sites SEO.ALL in one SEO pack is the most popular of all with downloads around 13 million.Some other most downloaded SEO plugins are Google XML sitemap generator,Google Analytics for WordPress,WordPress SEO by Yoast ,Google Analyticator and Broken Link Checker.

Akismet is the second most downloaded WordPress Plugin which clearly shows the intention of bloggers to stay away from of spam comments.

The Presence of plugins like Add This,Share Buttons by Lockerz and Sociable shows the importance given by bloggers to boost up the social engagements.

As expected Jetpack Plugin by WordPress is also on the top most downloaded plugins,which was downloaded more than 3 million times.

  1. I have seen many blogs giving out the list of best WP plugins. But this was something different. The Infographic made the difference. Got couple of new articles to use. Like WP-Navi. Good one.

  2. Nice Infographic Vivek, I think Akismet comes as a by default plugin for various WordPress frameworks. All in One SEO pack and SEO by Yoast too rock among most downloaded WordPress plugins.

    • Thanks Vijesh…I think Akismet should be integrated as a WordPress core feature and I also strongly feel that very soon SEO by Yoast will overtake All in one SEO Pack and become the WordPress best ever SEO plugin.

      Vijesh,You have a nice Tech blog but you are ruining it with popup ads and affiliate links…focus on content and building community then money will automatically follow you.

      • Thanks for your quick reply Vivek, as you said Yoast may overtake All in One SEO but All in One SEO updates its plugin very frequently giving best to its users. I think you use Yoast right.

        Thanks for your suggestions for my blog too, I will definitely focus on content building and removed popups too. I usually don’t find time, since now I am having 2 days festival holidays I started to surf few sites in this process I got your site. If I start a full time blogging career I wish I run my blog on a WordPress site.

        • Yep I am a Yoast user and till now I am going fine with it (also ex- all in One SEO user).

          All the best for your blogging career and I recommend you to switch over to WordPress if you are serious about blogging.

    • Hi Sridher you have a nice blog with very useful contents but the thing is it is somewhat difficult to make quick money on Blogging especially for Tech blogs like you….be patience and continue to grow your loyal readers….From my experience “There is no shortcut for success”.
